Did you know we publish a monthly newsletter that you can subscribe to for FREE?
Here's what we explore in this month's issue:
To begin, we take a break from interiors and focus on exteriors in our HomeWatch newsletter called ‘Does The Exterior Of A Condominium Influence Value?’. As condo developers try keep pace with the evolving design trends, we ponder whether the façade of a building holds sway in the minds of Buyers in the same way we attach importance to the aesthetics of interior common areas and amenities. Our exploration of this topic is shared as one of our direct mail newsletters which routinely reaches over 40,000 households each month, which is just part of our on-going marketing efforts ranging from advertising our renown Innovative Space ad in most Friday issues of The Globe and Mail (as we have done for over twenty years), along with our presence on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.
This month we provide sage advice to a stalled Buyer in our post, ‘Dear Urbaneer: We’ve Moved In To Our New Home – Now What?’ The quest to find the perfect home is rarely a smooth one, characterized by intense emotions that can span months. This month our reader asks our guidance on how to transition from buyer into the realities of home ownership. We suggest some tips on how to attend to your ‘to-do’s without getting stuck and losing momentum.
Each month we like to share the story of one of our dedicated Buyers and their home-buying journey. In our September Home Of The Month blog, we focus on a couple relocating to the city with a young child and professional lives that centre around the University of Toronto and Ryerson campuses. Naturally, the central west side was a perfect spot for this young family to start their new lives in Toronto. During their eight-month search, our Buyers resided in rental accommodations, which effectively removed the pressure of having to buy on a timeline. Check out this piece to find out how our relocating couple fared in the bidding war!
Have you heard? Torontonians are currently enjoying the accolades of two uber-chic publications! In our blog, ‘Vogue and The Economist Praise Toronto as Cool And Livable’, we discuss the implications of our West Queen West neighbourhood being named one of the coolest street-style neighbourhoods in the world! While the credit is certainly gratifying, especially given the negative international press Toronto has received in recent years, we wonder what this may mean for the west end housing market! Plus, The Economist, one of the globe's most well-regarded publications, ranked Toronto as Number 4 out of 140 cities for Liveability. Check it out!
Finally, while ‘location’ often figures prominently in the minds of future Buyers, we encourage house-hunters to fully reconcile the financial and emotional tolls of hours spent on delayed subways or in highway gridlock. Urbaneer was recently asked to weigh in on this topic by a writer from Bosley Real Estate. The result was a very informative piece on their blog, entitled, 'Searching For A Home? Consider The High Cost Of The Commute.' We love helping out future Buyers in any way we can!
