Did you know we publish a monthly newsletter that you can subscribe to for FREE?
Here's what we explore in our March issue:
First, we share our Homewatch newsletter, entitled, 'Radon Exposure: What You Need To Know To Protect Your Family’. At urbaneer.com we look at your home ownership experience from all the sides and provide you with comprehensive, thoughtful support. For most, homeownership is one of the most rewarding experiences that exist. However, there is great responsibility that goes along with that pleasure, both for the home itself and those that live within its walls. Between 2009 and 2011, a study concluded that seven percent of homeowners are living with dangerous levels of radon, which is the second leading cause of lung cancer. In this post, we tell you why radon is dangerous, how it enters your home, and how to check for it. In order to better share that information with you, this newsletter was converted into a direct mail piece and delivered to around 40,000 Toronto households this month. It's part of our on-going marketing efforts that range from traditional print campaigns like advertising our Innovative Space ad in the Friday Globe and Mail (as we have done for over twenty years), along with our presence on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.
Each month we like to share the story of one of our dedicated Buyers and their home-buying journey. In our March Home Of The Month blog, we focus on a lovely young couple with a baby on the way! Naturally, these two (and a half!) Buyers wanted to find a home that would fit their new family, but also allow them room to grow. The first six weeks of the search were discouraging. After all, when you have a delivery date looming, every additional day can feel like a weight on your shoulders (and, face it, there is a child growing in your belly!). But, after nearly twenty property viewings, nothing had felt 'right'. Click here to find out how our expecting couple finally found the perfect home for their new family.
In our March instalment of our Dear Urbaneer series, entitled, How Can I Boost The Value Of My Condominium, we advised a client who wanted to get the most bang for his buck as he prepared to sell his condo and settled into a new relationship. His question was: “As my partner and I prepare to move in together, I am taking steps to sell my condominium. Although I am sentimental about my place, I have a very pragmatic desire to try to get top dollar. I know that sometimes you need to invest a little elbow grease and money to do this in advance of selling. In terms of condominiums though, what improvements do you recommend?” Everyone knows that certain renovations are ‘worth’ more than others when a property is listed for sale. Read our post here to find out what we had to say!
One of our most popular blogs this month was I Love a Built-In Bed! In this piece, Steven Fudge airs his disdain for rooms with a split personality – like the dreaded guest bedroom / office – and offers advice on how to make multi-purpose spaces work. With multiple renovations under his belt, Steven shares his love for one design element in particular: the built-in bed! Check it out the full blog here!
Continuing our efforts to share pertinent information that could help enhance your home-owning experience, this month we posted a blog entitled, DIY Mistakes? Don’t Panic! If you’ve decided to participate in the growing movement of homeowners who choose to invest their own elbow grease through DIY home renovations, we at urbaneer commend your initiative and vision! But—what happens when the end result doesn’t match the picture in your mind’s eye? What if something goes horribly wrong? Don’t panic! Take a deep breath, gather yourself, and read our blog for some handy tips on both preventing and salvaging mistakes.
And don't miss the sensational unique urban homes listed for sale and lease for your consideration!
