Here is what you’ll find in our February 2026 E-Newsletter:
February’s Dear Urbaneer was entitled, ‘Dear Urbaneer: How Does The Urbaneer Refresh Guide Help Toronto Condo Owners Maximize Their Asset Value?‘ This time, Steve helps a potential Seller identify the most cost-effective upgrades to expedite the sale of their downtown Toronto condominium within the context of our Urbaneer Refresh Guide. The question reads: “I’m planning to sell my older condo in downtown Toronto this year. I know the kitchen and bath are dated, and I’m prepared to invest some funds in improvements to make my home more appealing to buyers and sell quickly. Generally, my home looks nice, though it’s far from trendy like the new buildings. How should I approach this? Please tell me more about the Urbaneer Refresh Guide.” Read on for his insight!
Steve and the Urbaneer Team post weekly blogs that share our love of all things real estate and that celebrate Toronto! Below are three of our most well-read posts this past month:
Our most well-read piece was: ‘The Eglinton Crosstown LRT: 15 Years In The Making!‘ After what feels like eons of shovels, scaffolding and earnest promises, Toronto’s Eglinton Crosstown LRT — now officially dubbed Line 5 Eglinton — finally opened to the public on February 8, 2026. Yep, that’s right: the shiny new light rail line is carrying passengers across midtown Toronto, from Mount Dennis in the west to Kennedy Station in the east, with 25 stops along its 19-kilometre stretch. For anyone who ever joked that the project would finish in their retirement, this is the day we celebrated the impossible becoming real. Here’s our recap!
Another popular piece was ‘Healthy Organic At Carrot Common On The Danforth‘. What do YOU do when you feel that scratchiness in the back of your throat, or when you sense a fever coming on? I head to an organic grocer and stock up on fresh-pressed juices to boost my immune system and organic veggies for soup!! Have you been to The Big Carrot in Carrot Common on the Danforth? From the products to the atmosphere, this is a health food paradise worth visiting! The staff are immensely helpful and willing to answer even the silliest-seeming questions or find any product you need. The shops have the air of being small-town specialty stores where everyone knows your name! More info here.
We also had a great response to our blog, ‘Fairbank Memorial Park & Community Centre in Oakwood Village‘. Nestled in Oakwood Village at the corner of Dufferin Street and Keywest Avenue, Fairbank Memorial Park remains a vibrant gathering place for the neighbourhood—even in the heart of a Toronto winter. While the trees stand bare and the fields rest under a blanket of snow, the park takes on a quieter kind of beauty. There’s something timeless about watching children race down snowy slopes while neighbours bundled in scarves and parkas pause to chat along the pathways. Read on!
