Flemingdon Park is a top-reviewed, family-run 9-hole golf course, and it’s just minutes from downtown Toronto – very accessible! Dating back to the early 1960s, this well-groomed course near the Don Valley Parkway and Wynford Drive has been called “an oasis in the heart of the city”! Flemingdon boasts very friendly, welcoming staff – both in the clubhouse and in the kitchen. Some golfers might pass by a 9-hole course in favour of an 18-hole one, but online reviews rank Flemingdon Park highly for both customer satisfaction and playability!

Drawing in golfers of all skill levels, the green is mid-range, so beginners shouldn’t be intimidated. Most of the holes are par 4s and par 3s. Additionally, there’s no marshal speeding around on a cart urging you to hurry your game – it’s a very relaxed atmosphere, and the setting is quite picturesque for a city course. Perched on the edge of the Charles Sauriol Conservation Area and a proud partner of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, don’t be surprised if some wildlife – foxes, deer, hawks, or eagles – come to watch you putt!
Knocking out a few holes is a lovely way for urbanites and downtown dwellers to spend a few hours getting back to nature! Even on those days when your game isn’t so good, the opportunity to soak up some vitamin D with friends or family is beyond worth it!
If you don’t feel like doing much walking, make sure to have some spare change on hand to pay for a cart ($8). And if you’re an amateur without your own equipment, renting is easy. (Just $22!) There’s also a Pro Shop, practice driving net, and a licensed snack bar, kitchen, lounge and outdoor patio!
