Publicists say “Any Press Is Good Press”.
And we think it’s true.
While BlogTO’s House Of The Week is renowned for its caustic assessments of Toronto real estate for sale, it’s audience of youthful Toronto hipsters is ideal when your listing is a detached house in one of their favourite neighbourhoods. Especially when the dwelling is mechanically sound, has a private sun-dappled landscaped garden, and offers two car parking (in a city where one condo parking spot is $30,000)!
Let’s face it, a $499,000 property is a spot-on snack bracket for a young couple who would, were they not in love, each be buying their own one bedroom crackerjack box-in-the-sky for somewhere in the $250,000 to $300,000 price range.
Despite the writer’s criticisms of our listing, we’re smiling. Cuz you only have to read the comment thread to see how several of BlogTO’s readers are raging at the author over her dismissal of the stacking laundry in the kitchen and her decision to call this a “fixer-upper”. After all, anyone actively looking at real estate for sale in our City knows a ‘fixer-upper’ is a property which needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Which this one definitely is not!
We HEART this charming home.
And we’re rather delighted to be the seller’s realtor of choice!
