Did you know we publish a monthly newsletter that you can subscribe to for FREE? Just click the link at the bottom of this post!
Here's what you'll find in the June 2016 edition of our e-newsletter as we continue to savour Summer!
First, we share our Homewatch News contribution, 'How Do I Set My Home Up For Financial Success', in which we discuss how Toronto homeowners can ensure financial gain from their real estate holdings. Furthermore, we delve into how to ensure the resale value of your new condo will grow. This HomeWatch Newsletter was turned into a direct mail piece delivered to around 40,000 Toronto households. It's part of our on-going marketing efforts that range from traditional print campaigns – like advertising our Innovative Space ad in the Friday Globe and Mail newspaper (for over twenty years) – to our informative blog on urbaneer.com along with our growing social media presence on Facebook, Google+, Instagram and Twitter.
Each month we share the tale of what one of our buyers have recently purchased in our Home Of The Month feature. In June we discuss a young family who navigated the choppy waters of the Spring market to secure a detached original Beach cottage. Their journey was rife with challenges – as it unfortunately is for most Toronto real estate buyers these days. Having been in the sales and marketing of real estate for 26 years now – including pioneering the Innovative Space market in the City of Toronto – despite all the ups and downs and failed attempts Buyers endure to secure the right home, time and time again we see families land exactly where they were meant to be. This purchase was no different – check it out!
In June's installment of our Dear Urbaneer series, entitled, 'Should I Buy Toronto Real Estate Now Or Should I Wait?', we chat with a client who wonders if the timing is right for him to buy a home: “I may be a first-time homebuyer, but I’ve spent countless hours preparing to become a homeowner. Over the years that I’ve been putting together my down payment, I’ve been paying attention to other things, like market momentum and media reports. I also know that real estate markets work in cycles. It seems to me that there is a lot of press from the government and from analysts warning about a real estate bubble. It makes me nervous that I might be buying at the height of the market, only to watch it pull back. On the other hand, the discussion about a bubble has been happening a long time, while prices just keep climbing. I worry if I wait too long, I might not get into the Toronto real estate market at all which makes me really nervous. Homeownership is an important goal for me. What should I do?“ Read our detailed response for our advice to this well-prepared but on-the-fence homebuyer!
As realtors, writers, and avid social media participants – not to mention lovers of all things real estate – our urbaneer team shares multiple blogs each week focused on the Toronto market, stellar amenities, and the urban lifestyle. In this month's issue, one of our most well received blogs was 'Urbaneer’s Spring 2016 Toronto Real Estate Forecast: Part Two', which continues the discussion we started in Part One of our Spring 2016 Forecast. Specifically, we take a look at some more factors that are having impact on the shape of the Toronto real estate market, namely the continued erosion of affordability, the changing shape of the property ladder, and the role of the condominium market. Another popular entry was part of Monika's Animal House series, titled 'Tips To Help Pet Owners Keep Their Homes Clean'. With Spring cleaning done, you want to keep your home in tip top shape as long as possible, but sometimes it's not easy when you have pets – read Monika's advice!
