The September instalment of our Dear Urbaneer series is entitled, ‘Dear Urbaneer: How Can I Be Smart About My Condominium Wish List?‘ This month, Steve replies to a prospective condo buyer who is in the process of building her wish list and beginning her search. She wonders what elements she should look for to give her the best options to fulfill her own particular desires, lure tenants if she chooses to rent, and support asset growth for when it comes time to sell. Here, Steve outlines 10 factors worth considering when setting the parameters of your condo hunt (including a few that many people miss)!

Steve and the Urbaneer Team post weekly blogs that share our love of all things real estate and that celebrate Toronto! Here are three of our most well-read posts this month:

According to Urbaneer.com’s monthly analytics, our most-read blog was ‘Homes With History In Toronto’s High Park Neighbourhood’. One of the best parts of the original City of Toronto is the rich and varied history of its many village neighbourhoods, with each enclave having a unique life cycle shaped by time, place, and culture. While a singular dwelling can reveal the immediate story of the inhabitants inside and the society around them, the narrative of entire streetscapes  – and the neighbourhoods in which they’re contained – can extend for generations, revealing a richer deeper sense of ‘We’. In this piece, Steve offers a brief history of the High Park North ‘hood and how its growth is reflected in the architecture of the housing stock.

The second most popular post was ‘How Urbaneer’s Toronto Real Estate Marketing Program Sold This Cool Condo In The Entertainment District‘. When you enlist the services of my team in the marketing and sale of your Toronto property, in addition to custom-crafting a visually arresting online and print sales prospectus that shines the spotlight on your home, we create engaging original content that celebrates the popular local everyday amenities beloved by your community – top restaurants, nearby green spaces, recreation opportunities, and engaging cultural amenities. After all, any property hunter will tell you that finding a home that is ‘the one’ has as much to do with where it is as with what it is.

Many readers joined us as we celebrated ‘The Best of Bread at Brodflour In Liberty Village‘ – one of our fave bakeries. They take immense pride in the process of bread-making; they have their own stone mill on site after all! From farm, to mill, to oven, they put love and care into their baking, ensuring its incredibly fresh and packed with nutrients! More of the good stuff, ya know? That’s what the world needs right now! It’s a one-stop-shop for people who love good coffee, good food, and good-for-you bread! I love celebrating the truly special businesses that make Toronto so great!

We also had an excellent response to our post, ‘Born To Ride: Exploring High Park And Beyond By Bicycle‘. This was one of our amenity blogs for our fabulous listing, ‘A Stately Edwardian Duplex With Lower Level Suite, Steps To High Park‘. Toronto has always been a favourable city for cycling. But during the pandemic, cycling for exercise, for pleasure or for simply getting from A to B has become even more popular. One of my favourite ‘hoods to cycle and explore is High Park! Are you cycle-curious? Planning a unique outing? Perhaps something different to do on a Saturday? This blog’s for you!

And – for lovers of unique urban spaces – don’t miss our sensational Toronto real estate properties currently listed for sale or lease on our site for your consideration!
