May’s Dear Urbaneer was entitled, Dear Urbaneer: How Can I Make The Most Of My Outdoor Space? In this one, Steve advises a homeowner looking to elevate their outdoor space to match their indoor space. The question reads: “Top of my to-do list as we approach summer is to transform my outdoor space to create opportunities to relax and socialize. May I ask what’s trending in outdoor space design, and how I might incorporate function and fun while adding value to my home?” Read on for his insight!
Steve and the Urbaneer Team post weekly blogs that share our love of all things real estate and that celebrate Toronto! Below are three of our most well-read posts this past month:
Our most well-read piece was: ‘5 Points To Ponder Before Buying A Condominium’. This blog started like so: “For many homeowners and prospective purchasers in Toronto, the condominium property type is alluring, but we find this especially true of first-time homebuyers, young urban professionals, and empty nesters looking to downsize. For those who love a lock-up and go space, dream of walking to work, or can’t afford the big sticker price of a freehold house, the city condo is a great housing choice. However, when purchasing a condominium, several factors unique to this housing form influence your quality of life as a resident owner. There are also some potential risks when addressing its asset growth as a suitable investment. Here we provide five points to guide your fiscal and emotional due diligence to consider before making a purchase. Read on for those 5 points of advice!
Another popular piece was ‘A Night Out With Buddies In Bad Times‘. Toronto is a city of diversity & multiculturalism, and with that comes a ton of fabulous entertainment options that skew from the norm or from the expected. In any discussion about trail-blazing Canadian theatre or iconic arts institutions in Toronto, without a doubt, you’ll hear the name Buddies In Bad Times. Founded almost 50 years ago in 1978 by Matt Walsh, Jerry Ciccoritti, and Sky Gilbert, ‘Buddies’ (as it’s colloquially known) is – get ready for it – the largest and longest-running queer theatre company in the world. How amazing is that?! Way to go, Toronto! Here’s a little history and some suggestions for fun nights out on the town with Buddies!
We also had a great response to our blog, ‘Rediscovering The Royal Ontario Museum In Toronto‘. Urbanites tend to love staying busy. We enjoy filling our proverbial cup with new and exciting experiences, which Toronto has in endless supply! Which begs the question. When was the last time you visited the Royal Ontario Museum? This veritable jewel of science and culture is always well worth a tour… or three. It’s hard to see everything in one go!
