Here is what you’ll find in our July 2023 E-Newsletter:

This month’s installment of Dear Urbaneer is entitled, ‘Dear Urbaneer: What Are The Tasks & Timeline When Selling Your Home?‘. This month Steve responds to an elderly property owner who is planning to sell their residence of nearly 4 decades to downsize into assisted living. Given it’s been a long time since they’ve purchased or sold a property, they’re wondering what the typical timeline is when selling a home today, as well as what tasks, obligations, and responsibilities lay with the Seller.

The Urbaneer Team posts weekly blogs that share our love of real estate and celebrate Toronto! Below are three of our most well-read posts this past month:

The most popular post in July was, ‘How Mid-Century Modern Apartments Housed The Post War Immigration Boom In Toronto‘. In this one, Steve writes about Midcentury Modern Apartments – which were built in the late 1940s through 1960s in  Toronto – for two reasons. The first reason is I love this architectural style because it’s characterized by clean lines, large windows, and an interior design based on functionality. The second reason is that these buildings were constructed during an earlier Toronto housing crisis, and I think it serves us to look to the past to see how it might inform our future.

Another popular piece was ‘Is The Toronto Real Estate Market Crashing?‘. In this piece, Steve reflects on his 30+ year career and many of the predictions and assessments he’s made surrounding the Toronto real estate market. Furthermore, he discusses the cyclical nature of the market and how past trends can inform what we are currently experiencing today. Read on!

We also had a great response to our blog ‘Strategy, Sweat and Success: An Accelerated Penthouse Sale!‘ In this post, Urbaneer Team member, Nadia Clark, shares a recent ‘tale from the real estate trenches’ that will make you believe in miracles – or at the very least have you breaking a sweat on her behalf! When a penthouse listing gets accelerated, weeks to prepare become hours as Nadia goes above and beyond to keep this sale on the rails! Read on!
