July’s instalment of Dear Urbaneer is entitled, ‘Dear Urbaneer: What’s Going On With The Toronto Condo Market’. In it, Steve responds to a client who is considering selling but wants more information on what is going on in the condominium market. This post is a complement to last month’s Dear Urbaneer called Has The Toronto Real Estate Market Gone SLO MO? Read on for his discussion!
Steve and the Urbaneer Team post weekly blogs that share our love of all things real estate and that celebrate Toronto! Below are three of our most popular posts this past month:
One of our most well-read pieces this month was a blog entitled, ‘How Green Does Your Roof Grow? All About Property-Topping Vegetation In Toronto‘. From finishes to floorplans to construction, sustainability is something that homeowners are prioritizing. Being sustainable is not an all-or-nothing approach. From a housing and design standpoint, it’s about identifying areas in which you can reduce your footprint and adopting habits that you can maintain over time. That’s the key to shrinking your footprint. One eco-friendly way to greenify your home – quite literally – is with a green roof.
Another popular piece was: ‘For Loft Sellers In MLS District E01, Nearly 1 in 5 Took A Financial Hit When Selling This Year‘. In MLS District E01 (the area spanning from Lake Ontario to The Danforth, and from Coxwell west to the Don Valley) Steve’s research found that nearly 1 in 5 loft Sellers in MLS E01 sold with losses ranging from 2% to 15.8%. The sale prices of these 43 lofts ranged from $539,000 to $1,299,000, and some of them had owned their properties since 2017.
We also continued our park series with: A Symphony Of The Senses At Harbourfront’s Toronto Music Garden. Recent research shows that taking a stroll through a natural setting can boost energy and focus, and taking in the sights and sounds of nature appears to be especially beneficial for our minds. Similarly, the experience of listening to music has been linked to the production of dopamine in our bodies, which gives us pleasure. So what could be more amazing than a park designed with music as the inspiration?
