This month’s installment of Dear Urbaneer is entitled, ‘Dear Urbaneer: Our Toronto Commute Is Costing Us Money & Our Sanity! What Should We Do?‘. In April, I am guiding a couple who have recently returned to working at the office and are struggling with the drive. They are becoming more aware of the time they spend in the car, and while not yet ready to make a move simply because of work, they are curious about where Toronto is trending in terms of accessibility and what the value is of living in a walkable neighbourhood.

The Urbaneer Team posts weekly blogs that share our love of real estate and celebrate Toronto! Below are three of our most well-read posts this past month:

The most popular post in March was, ‘Build A New Multi-Generational Family Residence, Co-Housing For 4 Friends, An Income Property Or Small Condominium In East York, Toronto‘. In this one, I describe the current building trends in the City, predict where we’re likely headed in terms of new cohabitation lifestyles and arrangements, and discuss buyer profiles as well as the various housing options available to someone who’d just purchased a nice lot in a gentrifying neighbourhood.

Another popular piece was ‘Earth Day 2023: Are You Investing In Our Planet?‘. As citizens of a global community, I find that our likelihood to invest in a cause or to work toward a solution for a problem is often a matter of whether or not we believe our contribution will make a difference. It’s useful to discuss what manageable goals can we as individuals set for ourselves to accomplish this week, this year, next year, and beyond, that will have a measurable impact on the future health of our planet. Finally, where is Toronto headed when it comes to sustainability? Read on!

We also had a great response to our blog ‘Toronto’s Original BIA Continues To Elevate The Bloor West Village Community‘. Did you know that most Toronto ‘hoods have active Business Improvement Associations toiling behind the scenes trying to ensure that our communities remain clean, ordered and prosperous? But Bloor West Village was Canada’s very first!! We asked Urbaneer team member Cynthia to sit down with Angela, the Executive Director of the Bloor West Village BIA, to uncover more of what such an association is responsible for and how community members can get involved in improving their neighbourhoods!

And – for lovers of unique urban spaces – don’t miss our sensational Toronto real estate listed for sale or lease on our site for your consideration!
