The March 2013 Synopsis

Although the calendar tells us the spring equinox arrives on March 21st, the phenological date of Spring in Toronto is more likely to arrive in April.

In fact, any Torontonian who wistfully envisions spring in the month of March will be cruelly taunted by Mother Nature, as she always sneaks in another snowfall.

Fortunately, we’re now just a day away from April. And we’re ready to blossom. Aren’t you?

March was a wack-a-doodle month in the world of Toronto real estate. But it was also quite fun. Urbaneer took on our first Ikea hack for a client who desperately needed some bookshelves. We also got some press with Global News on the dynamics of the market, and we tackled the fascinating question on whether the exterior facade of a condominium influences its market value (including an interesting historical analysis). On the sales front, we steered our clients into some terrific properties, including one Zoomer couple down-scaling into city digs.
