The Listings List

Uncategorized

OMGolly!

This weekend my fun, hip, stylish home-shopping grrrrrl-next-door buyer conditionally purchased a vintage former corner store in Toronto’s next hot ‘hood of Bloor and Lansdowne. While she’s using this week to complete her due diligence (three previous purchasers have attempted to buy this place only to have their deals fall apart for various ‘personal’ reasons), we wasted no time exploring all the ways this massive dilapidated box of a building might soon become a swell income property. And, because we can, we also nattered about how to furnish it gorgeous on a budget.

And then, she said “Have you ever seen my friend’s site called ‘The Listings List’?

Ummm, No!

Lickety split I logged on to this ‘Curatorial Peak At Toronto’s Online Classifieds: the result of an unhealthy obsession with Craigslist & Kijiji: Born of necessity. Inspired by design. Fostered by thrift.

Be prepared to behold visions of beauty on a budget. This site is the one stop cull of all the crap for sale on Craigslist and Kijiji, cleverly presented with frightfully funny bon mots. Want a lot of 1960s blue and white Lotte dishware complete with an oval table cloth? Or a rocker for a mini-senior? Or a 1966 red Ford Mustang with white roof?

Yes please!

If your aesthetic celebrates a mix of High/Low, or you’re crazy for ‘scoring a find’, then this is a MUST SEE site!

P.S. As the website says, “A tip: if you like it, act fast. It’s probably already sold.”
