It’s Saturday morning at 11am, and College Street is preparing for its annual weekend extravaganza called ‘Taste of Little Italy’!

This is your opportunity to enjoy all sorts of Italian foods, like Funnel Cakes and Chicken Fajitas. You can also ride the mini midway. At the corner of College and Euclid, where The Movie House is, you can spend four hours listening to a Polka Band, who have secured this corner for several years. From 7 to 11:30pm last night, I tapped my toes to several renditions of “Roll Out The Barrel”, from my living room! Oh the wonder of city living.

Truly though, it is weekends like these that reinforce my love for Toronto even when its accompanied by the magnitude of a thumping drum machine.

If you’re looking for something totally-local, this is the spot to be in a matter of minutes until Sunday evening.
