Ok, so it’s not often you’ll find me posting a blog at 3am in the morning but I’m just home after a five hour tour celebrating Nuit Blanche and I’m absolutely glowing over how dynamic the installations were and how engaged Torontonians embraced the event. Nuit Blanche (http://www.scotiabanknuitblanche.com) continues until sunrise and the city is out in full force! At this moment, the entire central core is like Rush Hour with masses of pedestrians everywhere. Check out the top photo taken around 1:30am in Dundas Square!
We started our evening getting fortified at The Harbord Room (www.theharbordroom.com). It’s the place in the vintage house with the charming pink dining-room located on Harbord Street just west of Queen’s Park and the University of Toronto. Although we enjoyed four courses I only managed to photograph one given my voracious appetite. Here’s a pic of their phenomenal $14 Risotto made of Corn, Chanterelle Mushrooms, Summer Squash & Tarragon with Toasted Nuts & Fresh Cheese. The Harbord Room just shot up to one of my favourites in the city for its exquisite food and impeccable service. This is five star Yum!
It’s evenings like tonight that remind me how grateful I am to reside in such a cool cosmopolitan city. Fantastic!
