If you ask Lollicakes owner and 'Chief Lolli', Barbara Rotberg, what's the greatest compliment she's received, she'll say: “We make people smile”.

Lollicakes is a 'cupcakerie' that specializes in exceptional cupcakes and Belgian chocolates, using only the “finest and freshest ingredients”. All of their goods are baked fresh daily, and since they're all hand-painted with care, no two creations are alike! What sets them apart from other bake shops? Well, their custom designs, for one; Lollicakes claims they can make anything and everything out of Belgian chocolate, and can tailor it to your specific needs. And while many bakeries try to provide a thousand and one types of batter and icing, this local bakery only does chocolate and vanilla cake; it's a perfect example of the old business adage: 'do one thing and do it well'. The customization comes into play with the frosting, toppings, and fresh-painted Belgian chocolate ornaments. If we were to describe their cake, we'd say fluffy, not dense, and not too sweet.

Not only does Lollicakes sell fresh baked cupcakes and cakepops on a daily basis, but they also stock the following: cupcake recipe books, wrappers, toppers, stands, trinket boxes, picture frames, aprons, oven mitts, notepads, clipboards, paper stationery, cards, and cupcake and cookie baking tools and equipment. They have items here I’ve never seen at other places; it's a fabulous gift shop for the sweet-lover! From a parent throwing a birthday party, to an aspiring baker looking for tips and tools, everyone will find something that they won't want to leave without.

And therein lies one of our favorite things about Lollicakes: it isn’t age-specific.  Even though they have cute, kid-friendly items, it’s the type of shop that doesn’t alienate its older clientele. There’s something for every type of cupcake lover here: the collector, the interior decorator, the beginner, everyone. All of Lollicakes products are peanut and tree nut-free and are certified kosher. They even provide gluten and egg-free options without the use of sesame or soy.  

Lollicakes makes their home on Mount Pleasant Road in Toronto, where the bakery/shop is always buzzing with laughter and excitement. Every morsel on display is a spectacular work of art and tastes even better than it looks! Stop by the store for an experience that will delight the senses.
