My furnishing style would best be called ‘eclectic’, as I tend to gravitate to pieces that are unique, have character and originate from anywhere across the globe.
One of my favourite Toronto retailers is Greentea Design located on Carlaw Avenue in Leslieville. They have an amazing showroom of Asian furnishings that range from antique to new, with a variety of price points to appeal to most every budget. The staff are very helpful and accommodating, and if you’re seeking something specific they’ll do their best to steer you accordingly.
I just bought this charming antique cabinet to use as a bedside table for a very reasonable CAN$600. The top and sides are a rich warm wood while the front panel is a shot of lacquer red. I love how it will add a little pop to my otherwise neutral colour scheme, and it’s aged worn patina will provide a balanced contrast to the contemporary lines of my new custom upholstered bed.
Stay tuned for more great local retailers I highly recommend!
