Located at 350 Donlands, just north of Cosburn you'll find this lovely little dispensary of all things farm fresh. Focusing on organic and hormone-free meat products raised by partnering Amish & Mennonite Farmers, they also carry an incredible selection of fresh product and pantry items.
Their mandate is to:
- Support small family farmers in Ontario by connecting them to an urban market that gives them a fair price for their work. Products are therefore “fair trade” — and local fair trade at that.
- Bypass the huge factory food production system reducing environmental damage to both land and air.
- Connect rural food producers and urban consumers to close the gap between food production and consumption. “This allows us to 'tell the story behind our food.' If you would like to know we can tell you who grew your food, where they grew it, and how.”
Fresh From The Farm offers an incredible array of farm-fresh meats available in-store or through a well-organized ordering system with product availability and pricing available on their website. That's right – online ordering – not only can you pre-order specific proteins (from Elk Shoulder to Free-Range Heritage Hen) but also gluten-free pastas, free-range eggs, spelt flour, clover honey and much more and set a time for pick-up.
How convenient is that?
You can also pop-in for meals-to-go from the “Farm Fresh Kitchen” or make them your go-to for weekly groceries as they have an incredible selection of seasonal farm-fresh product. (Think wild strawberries in July- Yum!).
