For many years, when I lived at The Button Factory, my neighbours and I would annually stage a haunted fright night show on our mews walkway for the neighbourhood kids. Boo! How amazing to witness young children growing over the course of a decade+, and see how brave they became each year to venture farther and farther down the mews to the scary finale! That one event each year served as a heartwarming (and terrifying) way to bond with my community and see babies bloom into teenagers.
Halloween is one of my favourite events of the year. After all, it’s the one day of the year one can legally frighten children! It’s also a great opportunity for me to indulge my fetish for fireworks, lighting all sorts of amazing incendiary bits and pieces for an audience. Plus I look wicked in a hooded cape and have perfected the most terrifying shriek…. “Do you DARE come down the gateway to HELL to see what lies beyond?! Do you DARE?”
Nowadays I am a free agent. I have my hooded cape and will travel. Where will I turn up? Watch out!
Here are some amazing pumpkin carvings. Aren’t these brilliant?
Happy Halloween!
