Design Inspiration, Travel Destination

Uncategorized

This intimate ten unit condominium, called Villa Blanca, was constructed about twenty years ago in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  As the building stacks up the hillside, I love how the irregular organic-shaped floor plates wrapped in planters of colourful flowers create indoor/outdoor slices of living overlooking the ocean. While this isn’t a practical design for Canada, it serves as Design Inspiration. This is the sort of building that leaves a feel good impression. Whenever I stay here, which has been over a dozen times over the years, I always look forward to returning.

Happy New Year!
