A Cause For Celebration At Bosley Real Estate Ltd.!

Media/Press

If you’re new to the Urbaneer blog, my name is Steven, and I help lead people through some of the most stressful periods of their lives.

I’m a Toronto realtor.

First and foremost, you should know I’m a company man. Whether it’s because I’m a Scorpio who embraces loyalty, or because I’ve long appreciated giving to those who give back, I’m currently celebrating 23 years with Bosley Real Estate Ltd., Brokerage. And I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.

The Bosleys, who have always embraced the Urbaneer.com brand, ‎just reached a significant milestone! They’re celebrating their 90th year as Canada’s oldest 100% family owned and operated Real Estate company. It’s an honour to be part of a legacy that has been successfully assisting buyers and sellers since 1928.

The owner and my mentor, Tom Bosley, has been holding stewardship of the family business for 50 years while his wife Ann (a second mentor), and daughter Christan, each play integral roles in operations. From day one, they have each nurtured, inspired, and championed me to achieve Top Producing Results. For a fellow who has possessed a healthy obsession for all aspects of housing and home since age 7, becoming a realtor has been my perfect path.

I’ve built my experience on a diverse, but solid foundation: first, with a multi-disciplinary undergraduate degree in Canadian Social History and Urban Studies, and then a graduate degree in Environmental Studies called ‘Planning Housing Environments’ (both from York University). Those degrees have been followed by 25 years of practical experience in the sales, marketing, and development of Toronto real estate. This all demonstrates my passion, my consistency, and my credibility as a real estate professional. But where I believe I truly shine is being in the service of others.

While some people think realtors are sales people consumed with closing ‘deals’, what motivates me isn’t the money. It’s the reward of guiding my Sellers through the strategic process of preparing their property for sale, so when it comes to implement our marketing programme – including social media – it sells in a timely manner for maximum dollar, ensuring they can move forward with the next chapter of their lives. It’s also the pleasure I derive steering my Buyers through the complexity of Toronto’s highly-charged always-unpredictable real estate market until they successfully secure the property which best aligns with their wishes, wants, and needs. On any day, at any hour, a property may come to market which fits my client’s practical requirements, complements their personal style, aligns within their financial parameters, and potentially grounds their emotional well-being. When that happens, I endeavour to smoothly negotiate and successfully secure said property with minimum stress to my client. Throughout these processes, I’m a counselor, confidante, hand-holder, and mediator‎ as I help them navigate the psychology of real estate, housing and home. I’m empathetic, objective, and I listen, qualities which better enable me to refine my clients objectives and goals in a continuous feedback loop so that we collectively understand and maintain perspective on their unique housing matrix, whether they are Buyers or Sellers.

Despite the 24/7/365 oscillation of a market which never stops, I derive enormous satisfaction helping people navigate change. Amidst the upheaval and uncertainty that accompanies contemplating, organizing, and executing a move, I – along with the Urbaneer team – offer our calming presence, our exacting attention to detail, and our commitment to support you through the transition. Just check out the Urbaneer Testimonials to provide you with additional peace of mind.

This past week at the firm’s Annual Sales Recognition and 90th Birthday Celebration, I was both humbled and honoured to receive Bosley’s William Statten Award “in recognition of your outstanding contribution to those persons in need of our company’s residential services, of your desire and continuing effort to educate yourself in real estate skills and knowledge as to render ever improved service, and of your real involvement in and meaningful contribution to the charitable affairs of your community.”

I am so grateful and blessed to be a part of a family firm who are committed to letting their sales representatives bloom into their highest potential and greatest good. ‎How lucky am I to be in the company of amazing associates, supported by wonderful managerial and administrative experts, and a mulit-generational family of proprietors who subscribe to generosity, integrity and friendship? Every one of them subscribe to providing the highest level of service and professionalism to the public.

As I celebrate my 25th year as a Top-Producing Toronto realtor, I want to thank each and every one of you – including clients, comrades, family and friends – who have touched my life in your own special way, and making me better for it.

Sincerely,

Steven
