Sipping on a tasty craft beer is a real treat, but even more rewarding with the knowledge that it’s locally made – and the brew pub is a cool place to hang out! Once the pandemic passes and we can congregate again, plan to sit and savour a pint at Bellwoods Brewery!
One of Toronto’s best craft breweries (and brew pub) is the Bellwoods Brewery, which started small and has grown quickly over the years. They now have two locations and a far-reaching online marketplace – shipping their signature brews far and wide. Their focus is on reating simple, but savory brews; some heavy on the hops, others delightful lagers, and more still with delightful fruity undertones. I love that they’re always tweaking their recipes in experimenation, and have a decidedly creative approach to their brew process.
If you needed any more proof that this is a pub hub worth visiting, I discovered that some of their brews are award-winning as well, with numerous accolades since they were established in 2012.
In addition heir original location at 124 Ossington, they bought and amalgamated 126 Ossington in order to have a tasting room and brew pub adjacent to their brew facility. It’s an undeniably hip place to share a beer with friends; the second-floor mezzanine gives you a birds-eye view right into the brewhouse, so you can witness the beer-making magic in real-time. I particularly like the lovely (and lively!) patio, which is a must-visit!
As for right now, because of COVID-19 restrictions, their wares are only offered for takeout and delivery. But buying brews is a breeze through their Shopify online market; have them delivered right to your door, or you can visit the bottle shop in person to grab take away. Here’s a list of what’s current on rotation.
They offer a good selection of beers (of course), wines, ciders and spirits. They also have a yummy pub-style menu, including burgers, fries, and Caesar salad. Or if you prefer, they have make-at home frozen meals, like lamb shepherd’s pie and mac& cheese. Talk about comfort food!
My favourite thing about Bellwoods Brewery? The location! It can be part of an afternoon or evening filled with other fun adventures, like trying a new restauruant (Union, anyone?), visiting the nearby farmer’s market, playing a game of frisbee golf, or simply lounging in Trinity Bellwoods Park!
124 Ossington Ave.

What a treat to be able to stop by this brew pub to meet with friends, or to wander over and pick up some super craft beer to sample at home? If you called 255 Crawford Street home, you’d be right around the corner! Here’s our listing, ‘Living Hip, Just A Hop From Trinity Bellwoods‘, offered for sale at $1,249,000!
