A Lake In Trinity Bellwoods Park?

Little Portugal, Queen West

After that record-breaking rainfall a few weeks back, Mackenzie Keast, an urban designer and member of Toronto based collective Distl, saw the deluge of flooding across our green spaces as the inspiration to illustrate how brilliant a lake might look in the middle of west end Trinity Bellwoods Park, one of our favourite city places to escape and unwind.

It would create a mini Central Park NYC setting – and who wouldn’t love that?

Although this visionary idea lives only in the imagination of forward-thinking urban denizens like Mackenzie, we appreciate being reminded on how much more amazing this City could be if we spent more capital and energy creating beauty for everyday living. Btw, aren’t his illustrations amazing? LOVE!
