A Ravishing Printer’s Row Riverdale Redo

February 16, 2011

A decade ago I played a part in the adaptive reuse conversion of Riverdale's Printer's Row, a former Blueprint Factory redeveloped by renown Bob Mitchell. My team and I placed several clients in the deluxe complex, sold the Riverdale Loft House next door, and I personally purchased and custom-designed a space with my former partner Chris. in fact, several of the rotating photos on my website here showcase that loft. Needless to say, I have a real soft spot for this enchanting enclave.

Located in Prime Riverdale, a smart cental east urbane neighbourhood with a great park, speedy transit routes, and everything from hip hangouts to family-friendly fun, Printers Row was completed by renown loft conversion developer Bob Mitchell in 2001. Designed by architect W. F. Carmichael in 1911, what was originally the Bell Telephone Company’s world headquarters eventually spent a portion of its life as the ABSO Blueprint Factory until it’s more recent conversion into loft residences. Comprising of twelve two and three storey lofts with secure parking on the lowest level, this discreet intimate walk-up is a great setting to experience Toronto life.

I've always had a soft spot for this intimate vintage building. Click HERE to link to a new listing in this conversion for $549,900!

And here's a great redo recently posted in www.Contemporarist.com. Led by Beauparlant Design (Love!), this reinvention of a ten year old interior is super fresh and smart! Oh, and make a point of checking out their BLOG. It's intelligent, engaging and inspirational!
