Boating At Harbourfront In Toronto

City Living, Harbourfront

Hello Spring! So glad you could finally join us!

Now that the weather is finally drying out and warming up, we Torontonians will be looking to get outdoors and get active! In a city with extensive green space – and situated on Lake Ontario – how could we not?!

Did you know you can rent pleasure crafts down at Toronto’s waterfront? What a perfect afternoon activity to do with a friend or family this summer! Below we’ve listed a couple options for fun on the water, all available at Harbourfront!

First, there’s the Harbourfront Canoe and Kayak Centre, where your can rent a one, two, or a fleet of paddle boards, kayaks, or canoes to paddle around the bay! They accommodate groups, and even offer summer camps! Need a lesson or perhaps just a refresher? They have instructors on staff to help you out! You can check rental availability on their website (They update availablitly two days before based on weather forecasts).

Here’s a snap of me kayaking near the Toronto Islands!

Second, there’s opportunities for sailing and motorized boating too!

You can grab some friends and take advantage of the boat rental service run by Harbourfront Sailing & Powerboating! Again, they also offer courses, training a boating license programs!

How fantastic to jump off the streetcar, stroll along HTO Beach, catch some busker entertainment, and then set sail for a tour around the harbour!

As Torontonians, we’re so lucky to live in a metropolis that’s situated on the water, and one that offers so many opportunities for recreation!

In our opinion, nothing beats the sizzle of Harbourfront in Summer.

Speaking of which, can you imagine how amazing it would be to simply take the elevator to the beach?
